You can access BKK’s MOL Bubi service for 30 days with a Monthly Pass, while the Annual Pass allows you 12 months of use; both pass types granting the first 30 minutes of each ride started free of charge. With a valid monthly or annual pass, you can pick up two bikes at a time with the first 30 minutes of each ride free of charge in the case of both bikes. The MOL Bubi monthly and annual pass is purchasable only by customers with a home address in Hungary, while the Pay As You Go fare is available to users with a foreign address.
We recommend the Pay As You Go rate to casual MOL Bubi users. A one-time bankcard registration fee of 120 HUF is charged in this case, which includes 3 minutes of free use at the start of your very first ride. After that, 40 HUF will be charged for each minute started. As a Pay As You Go user, you can also pick up 2 bikes at a time, usage fees will be charged separately for each.
If you have a valid MOL Bubi pass, the first 30 minutes of each ride is free of charge, while a separate usage fee of 40 HUF is charged for each minute started in the case of continuous rides lasting more than 30 minutes.
In the Pay As You Go system, each minute started costs 40 HUF.
Please remember that when you select the park mode for a bike, usage time is still counted and usage fees apply.
The Monthly Pass gives access to the MOL Bubi service for 30 days from purchase, while the Annual Pass provides 12-month access. The Monthly Pass will be renewed automatically, unless you cancel it in your user account at least one day before expiration.
One registration allows you to buy one fare product per purchase. However, if you would like to switch from the Pay As You Go rate to a monthly or annual pass, you can also do that easily in your user account.
You can register and buy a fare product in the MOL Bubi apor on the website after registration under My Account but please note that picking up bikes is possible only with the app.
If you wish to use MOL Bubi for longer periods on a regular basis, select the Monthly or the Annual Pass, both of which offer free use of up to 30 minutes each time you start a ride.
If you need MOL Bubi only occasionally, go for the Pay As You Go option, which offers you rides at the rate of 40 HUF / minute after registration. You can choose the most suitable fare product after registration.
You can end your use of MOL Bubi bikes at any of the 178 stations. If you don't end your use at one of them, you will have to pay a 5,000 HUF service free as an off-station bike closing surcharge.
You can pick up bikes at any station as well at off-station locations. You can see the exact location of stations and off-station bikes in real time on the website map in the MOL Bubi app. Please return your picked-up bike at one of the MOL Bubi stations, otherwise we will charge you an extra 5,000 HUF service fee.
In the MOL Bubi app, off-station bikes are shown by white circles in green markers. You can pick up those bikes in the same way as those at stations: either scan the QR code using the app, or enter the serial number of the bike and you can use it after unlocking it.
The bikes at the stations are shown by red circles in green markers along with the number of bikes available. You will see a grey marker if no bikes are available for pickup at the station.
If you would like to use the Pay As You Go rate or you wish to redeem a voucher, you need to pay a bankcard registration fee of 120 HUF. This is required, so that the payment system can verify your bankcard data. The registration fee includes a free ride of 5 minutes the very first time you start using MOL Bubi, the minute-based Pay As You Go rate will apply only afterwards. If you wish to use a different bankcard than the one already registered, the registration fee will be charged again for the new card.
